I need to put in a plee for some help. I have to admit that I am a bit intimidated by my new "toy". It has been 15 years since I had my own bike & the ones I had were tiny little street legal trail/scooters. My Honda Rebel, though a starter bike, is much more bike that I have attempted before. I learned to ride in a field last time without any problems. But now I'm no where near a field & would like to find someone to kinda "babysit" me while I learn all over again. By that I mean I would like someone to kind of stand by just in case I get into trouble. Any volunteers?

The best thing I can recommend for you is the Georgia (http://www.dmvs.ga.gov/training/gmsp/) or Honda (http://www.offroad-training.org/georgia/index.html) motorcycle safety courses (the others are good too but I don't have first hand knowledge of their courses). It is awesome. They use bikes like yours and start you off slow. They take the time to teach you the basics and get you comfortable on the bike.
Well worth the time and money!
Hope this helps

I totally agree with you but $250 (the cheapest I've found) out of my budget just isn't possible. Especially to re-learn something I already learned years ago. Basically, I need exactly what I asked for...a babysitter to pick me back up when I fall down & to act as a surregate security blanket. LOL

I found my babysitter! :thumb: Actually, a friend of mine is an instructor so he's going to teach me & run me thru the course next weekend. What a relief! And I won't be out the $250 either. My friends want me to be able to ride when we go to Thunder Beach in May....so looks like now I will be able to. Wish me luck! *does a happy little dance*

Thunder Beach, Trail of Tears... the lady has come to play :thumb:
Good for you! I hope you enjoy them. My wife is trying to talk me into doing more rides. She seems to think we should enjoy life instead of working it away ;)
