Does anyone know of any biker friendly bars that have a "bike nite" in the Decatur/Stone Mtn. area? I go to Woodstock every Wed. to the Firehouse for bike night but would love to find one closer to home!

Hmmm.....Vortex is a possibility. It's not far from home either. Only problem is that after bike night in Woodstock the night before, 2 in a row would probably kill me! LOL Thanks for the info tho Macman....I'll check it out anyway! Do you go there too?

I haven't been to the Vortex. I know several people that have. It gets mixed results. Some people love it...LOTS of bikes and LOTS of people. Others say you need to go once for the experience...TOO many bikes and people, you get boxed in easily and have to wait for the crowd to thin out to leave.

Everybody that went said they had a good time.

Have fun!

Twains in Downtown Decatur on Thursday nights is a great spot. Not too many bikes but a nice mix of old and new. no attitudes or loitering.

Vortex is an experience but I stopped going about 5 years ago because of the mass of people that wanted to just hang in the parking lot crowding things up and not patron-aging the Vortex or area bars/ restaurants.

It's great that places intown offer a place to hang out but you should show respect and pony up for a coke or some nachos - what would it cost you $5??

While not a "Bike Night" per se, East Atlanta has a number of "friendly" bars. I've seen a variety throughout the area, and figure it's only a matter of time. Specifically, The Gravity Pub, The Earl, Midway, Flat Iron, and Holy Taco. Check the area, you might start something. Or improve it. Anyone else?
