I know it's a small pointless thing but maybe it can get some people talking on here.

Does anyone find it when someone calls a GSXR a "Gixxer" kind of cheesy? I get why they call it that but it makes me think of someone calling Nitrous "Nause".

I mean you don't see someone with a CBR calling it a "Sibber" or someone with a Kawasaki a "Zix" or even "Zixxer". Or someon on a YZF-R1 a "Yizzer 1000".

I know it's no big deal really but to me it's like Nails on a Chalkboard. Or a calling card for a Squid. Call it what you like but feel like we need some kind of conversation on here.

While I was in Daytona I stopped by the Suzuki pavilion and one of the reps was talking to someone about the "Gixxer". Granted it was a younger guy. The older guys in the tent called them "GSXRs".

It seemed like they were talking fondly of the bike (paying it respect) when they called it the "GSXR". Like you would refer to an elder or teacher as Mr. Smith.

Just my impression...
