Missed the ride. I was up at Deal's Gap and then discovered a bad front tire and had to nurse it back home.
Which I have plans this Saturday but I'd probably be down for a Sunday ride to the mountains.

What you need to do is find a good route to Dahlonega. From Norcross, you could take Peachtree Parkway to GA400 and go north till GA400 ends and make a left. Some people like to take Hwy 9 instead of GA400 for a more scenic route.
From Dahlonega, go to Suches (go up 19 and make a left onto 60).
From there, make a right onto 180.
Enjoy!
PS - I found a pic of this area...

From Norcross I'd say get to GA400 via 141 (Head through John's Creek). Then follow GA400 up until it ends. You'll know it ends when you go from a 4lane to a two lane. The left lane(Fast lane) will turn into a left turn lane at a light with two gas stations. That is GA60(If you go right it will take you to gainesville, left to Dahlonega). Follow that the whole way(It will turn here an there just follow the signs)
Once it starts getting twisty look for a 3way which will have a large rockpile(man made) in the middle of it. Keep going straight until you get through the twisties and into a valley. You'll run into GA180. You have TWO(Two Wheels Only) and Dale's Gas station. Both are motorcycle must stops.
You'll follow GA180 up to Vogul State Park in which it will run into US129(Same 129 the Dragon is on just 2 hours away). IF you take a right that will take you to Blood Mountain. You'll see a store I call the "Hippy Depot" and when you enter you'll see why. Keep following that down until you run into another park at the bottom next to a mountain stream and you'll come to "Turners Corner". Take a righ there(I believe it's GA9) and that will take you back to the rock pile.
Just a few warnings. The roads are very twisty. Take it easy until you learn the roads. At GA60 once you pass the rock pile the first major right turn is a turn that gets tighter as you take it. Takes a lot of people by suprise.
Also cops patrol those roads. Have fun on the turns but when you get good long stretches don't try to stretch your bike out to 100mph+. Just enjoy the turns. If you want to go 150+mph then rural Georgia offers a lot of places to do that with no fear of cops.
Plus at the rockpile it can get confusing and people won't yeild properly(Because it can be confusing at times). Stay on your toes.
Also show politness. If someone comes up on you then they are probably faster. Let them pass you(Even in the double yellow) with ease and let them on their way. Regardless of bike. You'll see people on raced out Ducatis come flying and you'll see some old joker on a Goldwing blister by you with his old lady on the back like you weren't even there.
Hope this helps.
