View Full Version : GA's Gov wants suggestions for improved traffic. Lane Splitting?

The gov has created a survey that allows people to state how they feel their commute is and various suggestions on how to improve it. Some suggestions where better rail lines, more bicycle paths, more bus routes, etc.

But you also can write in some of your own stuff. Motorcycle lane splitting may come to mind for some. I advocated both better bicycle paths and motorcycle lane splitting. But added I'm not suggesting it's a free pass to run 100mph through traffic and that it must be done in what is agreed upon as a safe manner. Here is the link...

I am in favor of lane splitting, but only at stopped intersections. Not while traffic is moving, regardless of how slow it is. Too many idiots out there that dont check their blindspots. My Stebel 130 decibel has saved my butt many times.

In order to control the traffic their should be a lane system that must be followed strictly by the users and control on the speed of the drivers. Strict rules to be imposed and penalties for breaking the rules.
