I guess a lot of people don't use this site anymore. It seems like everything I read is old. Posted from 2005 and up. What's up with that?

View Full Version : Why so old MotorTed 02-20-2009, 01:50 PM I guess a lot of people don't use this site anymore. It seems like everything I read is old. Posted from 2005 and up. What's up with that? jwromick 02-21-2009, 11:21 AM Good question. I've posted responses to posts asking for more information and then never gotten a response from the original poster. I keep coming back looking for recent activity but it is very sparse. You post a question and receive immediate answers. There were always guys meeting up for rides and everything was current. Even when new members registered there were replies welcoming them aboard. Not here! I wonder if this site gets more active when the weather warms up? Reksul 02-23-2009, 11:08 AM Being new here I'm not sure how busy it will get. Next month should be a good test as toward the end of March we shouldn't see high's in or below the 50's anymore. You and I are in the same area. Hit that link, register on the site, then under quick links hit the social areas. Many riders in that social group (georgia iron horse) from all over this area and beyond. Rides being discussed all the time and it's a fun group. It is a moderated social area which means you can view but you have to be invited to post. No biggy, all you have to do is ask the moderator Georgia Girl. btw.. i'm not trying to dump on this site but it is pretty slow. MotorTed 02-23-2009, 12:18 PM http://hdforums.com/forum/groups/georgia-iron-horse-riders.html Thanks for the info. MotorTed 02-23-2009, 12:28 PM ok, I'm on there now under the same name as here (motorted). Administrator 02-24-2009, 01:35 AM This site was designed for people to post upcoming rides, events and bike nights so their friends and fellow riders could participate in them as well. We were tired of seeing groups of bikes go by and wonder what was going on...what did we miss? We also thought it would be great to let people post if they had something to say. We don't make people post but we are grateful to the ones that do. We like to think the others are spending more time riding than writing about it. Or maybe they just want to check the information on rides. Either way is fine by us. We built this site for you...so enjoy! Reksul 02-24-2009, 02:20 PM Thanks for the history lesson Admin...:thumb: :coffee: Cabin fever seems to pass quicker when there's chat available. :coffee: I'm ready for spring...:moto: Administrator 02-24-2009, 03:21 PM I hear you!.
