This is the ENV (Emissions Neutral Vehicle) and is runs on a hydrogen fuel cell which means no harmful emissions (gives off water) and no loud noise. It is will be for sale in the US by the end of 2006.

Cool! I hope this has greater adoption rates than the Segway (http://www.segway.com/) has.

It faces some daunting challenges however. 50 mph? 100 miles? $1500 just for a home charging unit? Time will tell whether this will take off. I would love to reduce our dependancy on foreign oil, and at the same time, make the U.S. a leader in fuel cell technology.

A French company is producing a car that runs on compressed air. I went looking but couldn't find a motorcycle that runs on compressed air. Now, that would be way cool and I bet it would be cheaper to own than a fuel cell car/motorcycle.
