Those of you thinking of traveling I-40 might find this interesting...

Traveling I-40 between exit 59 and exit 55 both East and West please keep in
mind that they are paving on the eastbound portion of I-40 west between
these two mile markers which means traffic backups. Also, on eastbound I-40
between these two mileposts they have gutted part of the roadway in
preparation for paving which has left grooved payment making it somewhat
difficult for you to maintain control of your motorcycle. Exercise extreme
caution when traveling between these two mileposts. I would recommend that
you take US70 to get around the problem but keep in mind that everyone else
appears to be taking this detour as well!!!
